--- Rise of the Planet of the Apes ---
Following in the general apocalyptic theme of DoomCon 2012, Rise of the Planet of the Apes is an origin story of the Sci-Fi classic, set in present day San Francisco, where man's own experiments with genetic engineering lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy. Directed by Rupert Wyatt, and featuring Freaks and Geeks James Franco, Andy Serkisssss who recently played Gollum/Smeagol in some movie, and Slumdog Millionaire's Freida Pinto, as well as Tom Felton and John Lithgow, this movie looks set to be a groundbreaking genre shattering, oh wait, no, but it looks fun.
